Pompeii Group Tour

If you haven't booked a tour in advance, no worries! You can still join one at the Pompeii entrances located at Piazza Esedra or Porta Marina. Look for staff members between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM who can connect you with a qualified guide. These guides will be easily identifiable by their badges.

Once connected, you can discuss the tour details directly with the guide. This includes the price, the specific route they'll take you on, and the overall duration.

Private tour guide Pompeii

Coming with a pre-organized group like a school trip or club outing? If your group is larger than 15 people, it's important to utilize earphones or a "whisper" system to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. This helps maintain a peaceful atmosphere for all visitors to Pompeii. With earphones or a whisper system, your group size can be as large as 35 people.

Schools Visiting Pompeii

dist

All schools, including those from Italy and the European Union, need to book a specific time slot for their visit to Pompeii. Online reservations can be made on the official website up to 36 hours before your visit.

Alternatively, you can call +39 06 399 67 050 or 848 800 288 (if calling from abroad) up to 3:00 PM the day before your visit. There's a €10 booking fee per group, which can include up to 30 participants (students and teachers).

Unlike regular tours, school groups of up to 35 people (including teachers) are allowed without needing earphones or whisper systems. Make sure your group arrives at the ticket office 15 minutes before your booked timeslot. You'll need to present a list of all participants on official school letterhead, stamped and signed by the school principal.

For further questions or assistance, you can contact the call center from Monday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, or send an email to their official email ID.
